* Argentine - Tourist bus crashes killing 10
Misiones,ARG -The Advertiser Adelaide (South Australia) -Sept 05, 2006: -- A bus carrying American, South African and Spanish tourists collided with a truck in northeastern Argentina today in an accident that left 10 people dead and another 10 injured, police said... Eight tourists, the bus driver and the truck driver died in the crash in the town of Garuape, 1270km north of Buenos Aires... The dead were not immediately identified, but police said the bus was carrying Spaniards, Americans and South Africans... The bus hit the truck as the driver tried to overtake two other buses... The bus was travelling from the central city of Cordoba to the northeastern tourist destination of Puerto Iguazu, which is known for the huge Iguazu Falls on the Argentina-Brazil border...
* USA - 19 students hurt in school bus crash
Hendersonville,TN,USA -The Hendersonville Star News -5 Sept 2006: -- An accident between two Metro school buses this afternoon sent 19 Hillwood High School students to the hospital with minor injuries... The two buses left the school about 2:20 p.m. after dismissal and were traveling down Charlotte Pike when one bus rear-ended the other about 10 minutes later, officials said...
* USA - 33 Hurt in Bus Rollover in Mass.
USA -Forbes/Associated Press -5 Sept 2006: -- A bus traveling from New York to Boston rolled over on an interstate off-ramp Tuesday, injuring 33 people, authorities said... "It appears the bus was probably traveling too fast for the off-ramp, which caused the bus to roll over on its side," Auburn Police Chief Andrew Sluckis said... The bus was carrying 57 passengers when it turned onto its left side while negotiating a curve in Auburn, about 40 miles southwest of Boston... The bus is operated by Fung Wah Bus Transportation Inc., which offers low-fare Chinatown-to-Chinatown routes...
* France - Tour bus crashes, killing four and injuring about 40
Paris,France -The Intn'l Herald Tribune/AP -Sept 5, 2006: -- A truck and a tour bus collided Tuesday on a highway north of Paris, killing four Russians and injuring 40 others, French officials said... The accident took place near the town of Brasseuse, in the Oise region north of the capital, local officials said. The truck hit the bus from behind, they said... The driver of the bus and three passengers — all Russians — died, and 10 others were badly injured, regional leader Philippe Gregoire said. Another 30 people were slightly injured, he said...
