Wellington,New Zealand -Stuff.co.nz, by ADRIAN BATHGATE -15 August 2006: -- The Commerce Commission wants New Zealand Bus to pay up to $2.5 million in penalties relating to its failed bid to take over Mana Coach Services... The commission also wants the offshoot of Infratil to pay $652,068 in costs relating to its investigation of the takeover... Yesterday was the first day of a two-day hearing on the matter in the High Court at Wellington... Two of the owners of Mana, Kerry and Ian Waddell, have also been targeted by the Commission for up to $50,000 in damages. It claims they were party to a prohibited purchase...
