Security cameras - New Zealand - On buses and ferry to be extended
Wellington,New Zealand -Radio New Zealand -8 Jun 2006: -- Canterbury Regional Council has approved funding to ensure there are security cameras on all Christchurch buses, and on the Diamond Harbour ferry... The decision followed an attack on two bus drivers, which left one of them needing hospital treatment... The regional council says three quarters of buses already have security cameras, but more than 40 do not. Almost $177,000 will be spent on the additional cameras and on upgrading existing systems...
