Bio-Diesel - Canada - TTC Pumps Up With
All 1,700 Buses Are Now Bio-Buses
TORONTO, ONTARIO -CCNMatthews -June 6, 2006: -- More than 1,700 TTC and Wheel-Trans buses are now running on bio-fuel. Bio-fuel is a mixture of vegetable oil and diesel. The TTC will be using a soy-diesel blend known as B5 (or five per cent bio-additive) in its supply of ultra-low sulphur diesel fuel... The bio-fuel proved to be the cleaner-burning and more energy-efficient choice... Using B5 diesel will reduce harmful pollutants associated with smog and ozone depletion...
