London,Ontario,Canada -London Free Press, by APRIL KEMICK -May 12, 2006: -- A controversial suggestion to remove city buses from the congested Dundas Street corridor was slammed last night at a public meeting at London's convention centre... Dozens of downtown business owners and shoppers weighed in at the meeting, held to get input on improving traffic flow in the core... Attic Books owner Marvin Post said bus passengers bring more than just congestion to the core... A survey of 81 businesses by the London Downtown Business Association showed nearly 14 per cent of respondents said transit riders comprise more than 75 per cent of their business...
