Need passengers? - India - Buses without passengers
India -Indian Muslims (San Diego,Cal,USA), by Muhammad Abd al-Hameed -13 May 2006: -- To run a bus service, you need a bus. That is obvious. But don't you also need passengers? Not necessarily, according to the governments of Pakistan and India... Recently, a bus left Nankana Sahib for Amritsar without a single passenger. And there were just seven passengers in the bus going from Lahore to Amritsar... The exemption from visa will benefit not only the Lahore-Delhi, Lahore-Amritsar and Nankana Sahib-Amritsar bus services but also the two railway trains running between the two countries as the senior citizens will increase substantially the number of passengers. That will open the way to much more revenue for the bus and train services on both sides...
