Discount - Thailand - Buses catch a break on diesel
Bangkok,Thailand -Bangkok Post -13 May 2006: -- In a bid to ease the hardship now being suffered by the public transportation sector, service stations of the PTT Plc, Thailand's biggest petroleum firm, will discount the price of diesel for state-owned city and tourist buses by one baht a litre, starting on Monday. The discount will last for at least three months... PTT Executive Vice President for Oil Business Group Chaivat Churitti said the company would reduce the price of diesel directly pumped into buses of the Bangkok Mass Transit Authority and the Transport Co., Ltd, through Aug 15... The company is willing to assist other operators of public carriers and is now compiling names of their companies and oil consumption demand from the Transport Ministry...
