Ban them! - Ghana - "207" and Urvan buses fingered as culprits in road carnage

Accra,Ghana -Accra Daily Mail, by Kofi Agyepong -May 17, 2006: -- Shocked by the recent road accident which claimed the lives of close to 40 passengers, people are calling for a ban on "207" and Urvan buses from traveling on long journeys... According to people who have been expressing their worries to the ADM since the recent slaughter, most of the accidents on Ghana's urban roads and highways are caused by vehicles in that category... A driver at the Neoplan Station at circle told ADM that "207 busses are cargo trucks converted in Ghana to be used as passenger buses. This is the reason why they are always involved in accidents"...
He said normally 207 cars should not exceed a speed limit of 75km, but most drivers who go long distances, drive above that speed limit...
