Hi-tech signs - UK - No more waiting in vain for the bus
Cambridge,England,UK -Cambridge Evening News -3 Dec 2005: -- NOT knowing when your next bus is coming can be frustrating but it could soon be a thing of the past... A new initiative to bring up-to-the-minute "real time" bus information is due to be launched in Cambridges hire in the new year... Signs will display the length of time passengers will have to wait before the next bus and enable them to plan their journeys... The equipment will be tested in Cambridge in December and start for real in January 2006... London Transport already uses the system and Cambridgeshire County Council, which is implementing the scheme, hopes it will improve public transport choices in our region...
