The oft-delayed transfer of the private bus companies to the MTA has been pushed back to January 2006 at the earliest, according to several sources... The City Council’s Civil Service and Labor Committee held a public hearing last week where union leaders said they had made no progress with the city on securing their workers’ benefits in the event of the takeover.
