Anger -UK - At bikers in bus lane
Belfast,N.I., UK - Belfast Telegraph, by Ben Lowry -17 Nov 2005: -- Motorcyclists and cyclists have clashed over a Government decision to allow motorbikes to go in bus lanes... An experimental scheme introduced in June last year will now be extended indefinitely, subject to a review in two years... This means that bus lanes in Northern Ireland will be open to buses, Belfast public hire taxis, taxis licensed to operate a bus type service and cyclists... The initiative aims to lower the collision risk for motorcyclists and improve use of road space, the Department of Regional Development (DRD) said...
