Sydney,NSW,Australia -The Sydney Morning Herald, by Jacob Saulwick -August 9, 2014: -- Is your bus stop within 400 metres of the next one? If so, it may be on borrowed time... Work will begin on Sunday on a project to remove at least eight bus stops from Sydney's inner west – an early stage of a government agenda to cut the number of stops across the city... Transport for NSW has a long-term aim to speed up buses through Sydney by scheduling services that stop at fewer locations... It is likely that similar programs will eventually be introduced on other congested bus corridors – such as the eastern suburbs, lower north shore and around Victoria Road...
