BUSMAKERS' NEWS * Germany - MAN says Plauen will focus on making travel buses
Munich,Germany -AFX News Limited/Forbes (NY,USA) -17 March 2008: -- MAN AG commercial vehicle unit MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG said its travel bus business will be transferred to Plauen while the production facility in Pilsting will concentrate on special buses, as well as buses custom-made to customers' specifications... The bus unit Neoplan will focus on making buses that can be sold in bigger unit sales volumes and prefer to make special and custom-made buses with a partner outside of the MAN company... Around 700 buses were made last year between Pilsting and Plauen, the company said...
