The Air Resources Board approved today the allocation of nearly $200 million to replace the remaining 74 oldest school buses still circulating in California, and to replace or retrofit an additional 4,500 high polluting buses serving public schools...

Community Transit put its first double decker bus, dubbed The Double Tall, into regular service last August... The agency said the number of passengers using its bus, vanpool and paratransit service jumped by 1 million, from 9.9 million riders in 2006 to 10.9 million last year...
