* Australia - AJFA not surprised

Brisbane,Australia -leonbertrand.blogspot.com, by Leon Bertrand -2 Dec 2007: -- A Courier Mail and QUT study has found that over one third of peak hour busses are running late in Brisbane... This hardly comes as a surprise to us, given that we have been reporting on Translink lateness and incompetance for a while now... The study also found that 100 buses a week are too full to stop for extra passengers. This is in spite of the fact that there was major overcrowding on the bus networks over two years ago... I know that Brisbane is a rapidly growing city, but this is outrageous. Surely the council must also be collecting higher rates with all this extra population to help it cope with demand...
