London,UK -Transport Briefing -30 Nov 2007: -- Rebranded bus services in Belfast have witnessed passenger numbers rise by more than 20% since February 2005, according to figures released by Northern Ireland's public transport operator Translink... Metro services were launched in February 2005 to integrate Translink’s Citybus and Greater Belfast Ulsterbus services, forming 12 arterial routes and additional services within the Greater Belfast area. Translink says 500,000 passengers are now using Metro bus services each week, equating to 38,000 fewer cars on the road...
