REPLACING RAIL LINK * UK - Temporary Romsey bus routes
Transport bosses who are axing the Romsey to Winchester rail link say they will fund additional bus routes until next summer to see if the service is successful
Basingstoke,England,UK -The Basingstoke Gazette -2 Nov 2007: -- South West Trains representatives told a public meeting in Romsey tonight that they will fund extra services on the Stagecoach bus timetable to replace the half-hourly routes that will be lost when the rail link is axed next month... Hampshire County Council have agreed to monitor the bus routes, which will run until July, and measure independently how many passengers use the service to see if additionally buses are commercially viable for the transport companies...
