"Driver of the Year" * New Zealand - No bulls, just buses at rodeo
Auckland,New Zealand -TVNZ - Sep 30, 2007: -- There was plenty of horsepower but no horses at a rodeo in Christchurch on Sunday. Bus drivers from around the country and across the Tasman were doing battle for the title of driver of the year... And the course is no cruise down a bus lane... "The person who wins this competition will be the person that can get around the course in the quickest possible time, hitting the least number of cones," says the course designer, Dave Bean... The event has pulled in 20 top competitors... The competition has proved tougher than keeping to a peak-hour timetable.
