Youngsters are calling for transport to be made safer in Tendring.

Clacton,Essex,UK -The Clacton and Frinton Gazette, by James Dwan -22 Sept 2007: -- The call follows a survey that showed seven in ten children feel unsafe on buses and one in four fear for their safety... More than 650 children from schools and organisations gave details of their experiences of buses, trains, bicycles and taxis... The survey shows most youngsters say buses are too unreliable, drivers unhelpful and buses unclean... Stephen Mayzes, leader of Tendring youth council, said the council is aiming to work with bus operators and police... The council aims to tackle antisocial behaviour and to improve accessibility for young people with cheaper fares...
