Express Buses * USA - Were a bust during NYC subway flooding
New York,NY,USA -AP/Newsday (Long Island,NY) -August 11, 2007: -- Hundreds of city buses bypassed stranded commuters during the height of a transit meltdown following a major rainstorm because transit officials didn't order express buses to make extra stops, transit officials and union leaders said... The Metropolitan Transportation Authority's NYC Transit division has about 600 express buses, and the agency's Bus Company has several hundred more. While local buses were overrun with passengers after Wednesday's downpours crippled the subway system, some express buses had empty seats... Labels: passengers complains
