Traffic here absolutely a mess... The bus drivers are
completely crazy

City Buenos Aires,CF,Arg -Travel Pod -Aug 04, 2007: -- You might remember how I previously mentioned the traffic here. If not, I’ll remind you, it’s absolutely a mess. Always. Every day, at any hour. I’ve already witnessed two accidents with buses. However, I’m not entirely surprised at this. The bus drivers are completely crazy. Every route has a stop every two blocks. A bus will pull over if someone waves them down from outside or presses the indicator from inside otherwise, they move through the streets darting in and out of lanes as though they were driving a much, much smaller car. Both incidents arose when a bus stopped suddenly to let passengers on or off and the car behind was unable to stop in time. The second time I had a front row (or more rather back row) view of a car hitting the bus I was riding on. It was raining and Sarah and I were sitting in the back of the bus and got to see first hand. It was all very exciting, the bus tried to move forward to separate from the car instead it managed to pull the car along for another 15-20 feet until it finally dislodged. Luckily no one was hurt and as soon as the excitement was over, we quickly realized we had better get off the bus and find another if we wanted to be on our way anytime soon...
