* India - Private schools acquire buses, parents ‘burdened’
Gowhar Bhat,Srinagar,India -GreaterKashmir.com -Apr 4, 2007: -- Many private schools in the Valley have bought school buses in compliance with Supreme Court orders that schools should have their own quality school buses, but while doing so they have burdened the parents of schoolchildren by increasing transport fees manifold... The Apex Court’s orders made it mandatory for all private schools to have exclusive and quality school buses. Some private schools have sought loans from the government for acquiring the buses, but the parents say the loans were subsidised and hence the fee-hike is “unjustified”...

* Trinidad & Tobago - More PTSC buses but no fare hike
