Council Postpones Vote on Mayor's Bus Proposal
Detroit,MI,USA -WXYZ - Apr 4, 2007: -- A vote has been postponed on Mayor's plan for Wayne County Deputies to ride city buses... Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick has proposed a three-year $11.7 Million federal grant that would put Wayne County Deputies on board the city buses... City Council is set to vote on this proposal on Monday... This comes after the Detroit News reports of death threats, beatings and even stabbing as being some of the things Detroiters face while riding some bus routes... The police department hasn't been able to ride the buses because of a lack of man power...
