Bus Layout * New Zealand - Safer around school buses but plea to obey speed law
Gisborne,New Zealand -The Gisborne Herald, by Martin Gibson -23 Feb, 2007: -- A new system is in place at Manutuke School to get students off the bus more safely... Manutuke School principal Rikki Walsh says it is much safer, but she wishes drivers would obey the 20 km/h law as they pass school buses... "We were thrilled with the changes. Before there were children everywhere, now there are designated areas for everyone... There is now a place for parents to park, a place for teachers and a place for buses to drop children off... The benefit of the new bus unloading layout is that people are legally required to drive at 20kmh or less..."
