Twelve years of planning and $24 million in funding for the Lane Transit District's EmX system culminated with a 60-foot-long bus jammed to its ground-level doors with dignitaries... The 44-seat rapid transit bus welcomed transportation higher-ups, including James Simpson, administrator of the Federal Transit Administration, and Rep. London,UK -Transport Briefing -15 Jan 2007: -- Double decker buses with leather seats and CD players have been introduced by First Devon and Cornwall to provide a park and ride service in Plymouth... The nine new Enviro 400 buses, built by Alexander Dennis, are said to represent the highest quality rolling stock currently available to the UK bus market. They are also the only double deckers in Britain to meet recently introduced EC legislation on Euro 4 emissions. Additionally, they comply with more stringent low-emission standards specified by Transport for London... Each vehicle is fitted with 80 luxury leather seats, CCTV, real-time information and on-board televisions which will be capable of broadcasting BBC news updates, promotional information about the city as well as next stop information...
