FREEZE TROUBLES * USA - Cold causes school buses to stall
Omaha,Neb,USA -AP/The Sioux City Journal (Sioux City,IA,USA) -18 Jan 2007: -- Dozens of school buses stalled or wouldn't start Tuesday because of subzero temperatures, causing thousands of children to be stranded at bus stops in eastern Nebraska. Officials said diesel fuel can gel in extreme cold, and that probably was the reason for the problems... The temperature was 12 below zero in Omaha shortly after 6 a.m. -- the coldest reading here since Jan. 23, 2003, the National Weather Service said...
