Cape Town,South Africa -Independent Online -Dec 13 2006: -- Forty-four unroadworthy buses were impounded during a "stop and check" campaign throughout the country, the transport department said on Wednesday... Organised by the department through its Arrive Alive Rolling Enforcement Plan, the campaign began on December 1, said spokesperson Collen Msibi... About 120 buses were stopped and checked and 44 of them were found to be unfit to be driven on the open roads...
