* India - Navi Mumbai gets luxury buses
Navi Mumbai,India -Vashi2Panvel.Com, by Kartiki Shastry -Dec 8, 2006: -- The unpleasant incident of desecration of Baba Saheb Ambedkar’s statue in Kanpur had its effect in Navi Mumbai too as Babasaheb’s supporters destroyed over 70 NMMT buses in this area... To make it convenient for the commuters, NMMT has started almost 10 Semi Luxury buses from yesterday... Earlier, these kinds of buses were used to run only on the JNPT road, informed NMMT officials. Though the passengers want an increase in number of buses, they are happy with the arrangement for the time being...
