* USA - Bus overturns; 13 elementary schoolers injured
Lafayette,LA,USA -The Daily Advertiser, by Kyle Jackson -14 Dec 2006: -- A Lafayette Parish public school bus overturned around 3:24 p.m. today on the intersection of Voorhees and Washington Street near the 500 block of Lafayette Street, police said... According to police, 13 students from Myrtle Place Elementary School and the driver of the bus were traveling eastbound on Voorhees Street when a vehicle traveling south on Washington collided with the bus... It is unknown which vehicle was at fault in the accident at this time... “No violations have been determined or issued yet,” said Cpl. Paul Mouton, public information officer for the Lafayette police...
