Did sleepy bus driver cause this horrifc accident? * Taiwan - 3 killed as bus, truck and tanker crash
Taipei,Taiwan -The Electric New Paper (Singapore)/Apple Daily (Taiwan) -Nov 17, 2006: -- The driver had barely four hours of rest before he started driving the bus to Kaohsiung from Taipei... Now, his fatigue is what grieving relatives suspect caused a horrific crash in Chungshan yesterday morning. It left three dead and seven injured, reported... The bus driver, Mr Chen Cong Ming, 55, and four passengers seated in the first two rows were flung out of the bus when it veered into the next lane and collided head-on with a trailer truck... According to police investigations, Mr Chen had started his shift with Freego bus company on Tuesday night at 9pm, driving from Chungli to Taipei, a two-hour journey... He barely rested for four hours, before setting off from Taipei at 3am the next morning, bound for Kaohsiung... Freego is a well-known bus company in Taiwan and plies major intercity routes in the country...
