PRODUCTION * Ethiopia - Local/Russian Cos to Manufacture Electric Bus
Addis Abeba,ETHI -The Daily Monitor, by Hayal Alemayehu -Nov 16, 2006: -- AFRO ASIA Technical Trading Enterprise, a local private company, and the Russian Electronic and Transport Factory giant, Trolza Joint Stock Co., yesterday officially signed a joint venture agreement to establish what would be "the first of its kind electric bus manufacturer in Africa" with an investment outlay of 100 million USD... "Rus Afro-trol", will be installed at Debre Markos town of the Amhara region, on a 43 hectares plot of land. The new establishment has already secured license from the Ethiopian Investment Agency...
