Discovered "irregularities" at the division
Berlin,Germany -Associated Press/Washington Post, by STEPHEN GRAHAM -Nov 13, 2006: -- DaimlerChrysler AG said Monday that the head of its bus unit, Wolfgang Diez, had resigned and that it had discovered "irregularities" at the division... The German-U.S. automaker said it found the problems at the unit, the world's largest bus manufacturer, during a "routine investigation of its own business."... The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and Department of Justice are investigating whether the company violated U.S. anti-bribery laws... German prosecutors are also investigating former employees of DaimlerChrysler for suspected corruption in its business in Poland and Ghana...
