* Pakistan/India - Nankana bus costs Pakistan Rs 1.5 lakh per month
Islamabad,PAK -Pakistan Link (Inglewood,CA,USA)/DailyTimes.com.pk -Nov 12, 2006: -- India’s strict visa policy for passengers travelling on the Amritsar-Nankana bus service is causing monthly losses of Rs 1.5 lakh to Pakistan, a report has said... It has found that due to New Delhi’s stringent visa requirements and lengthy approval procedures, only two or three passengers have been able to make use of the bus service on any given day, translating into a daily loss of Rs 16,000 to Islamabad... The report recommends that a smaller vehicle be used and that the service be run on a bi-monthly basis...
