Transport Easier - UK - Bus firm to put ticket machines on streets
Edinburgh,Scotland,UK -The Scotsman, by ALAN RODEN -31 Ago 2006: -- LOTHIAN Buses plans to introduce on-street ticket machines for the city centre in a move designed to speed up bus journeys... The city's largest public transport operator wants to install nearly 40 machines on key streets such as Princes Street and Leith Walk, doing away with the need to hand over cash to drivers... It is hoped the move will mean buses spending less time at stops, as well as making travel by public transport easier for tourists...
