NSW Transport Minister John Watkins today said the first public trial of the TCard smartcard ticketing system would begin on several bus routes in October... The TCard system was designed to allow commuters to travel on all trains, buses and ferries in Sydney with one card, and is expected to be in operation by the end of 2007...
