Security - Canada - Ottawa buses may soon get cameras
Ottawa,Ontario,Canada -CBC News -Sept 25, 2006: -- Ottawa's acting transit director says she's "very optimistic" that a third of OC Transpo's bus fleet could be equipped with surveillance cameras as early as winter... Helen Gault's said the plan is to install cameras on 330 buses, including all night routes... While the cameras would not be monitored, Gault said police could use the captured video as evidence. She said she hopes the cameras will act as a deterrent...
