Time is not on the side of Kim Espino, Tempe Union High School District transportation assistant. The search to fill bus-driver positions continues, and Espino is about 18 drivers short... It's not just Tempe Union. Other Tempe districts are facing the same challenge. The Kyrene School District is eight to 10 drivers short, although its training class is filling up, according to district spokesman Dino Katsiris. And the Tempe Elementary School District is about five drivers short...
