* USA - City approves purchase of 35 new buses

The buses are being brought through the Massachusetts Day Transportation Authority under a special arrangement that will result in delivery of the buses in 9 months as opposed to the normal 16 months...
* USA - Eleven states to receive new hybrid school buses
Akron,OH,USA -Waste News -July 25, 2006: -- Hybrid school buses, which can improve fuel efficiency by up to 40 percent, are going to 11 states through a purchase that will provide 19 of the vehicles... The buses, built by IC Corp., are being purchased through a buyers consortium initiated by Advanced Energy, a Raleigh, N.C.-based nonprofit group. IC recently unveiled the first-ever hybrid school bus in New York... The hybrid buses are going to New York, California, Texas, Florida, Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Arkansas, Iowa and Washington...
