Budget Battle - UK - OAPs on warpath over axed buses
Christchurch,Dorset,UK -This is Dorset, by Louise Isaacs -25 July 2006: -- Campaigning pensioners in Christchurch have sent a 400-name petition to Yellow Buses, council bosses and Age Concern in protest at the bus firm's decision to axe what they describe as a lifeline route in their neighbourhood... Pensioners at Fairmile have also formed a committee as part of their ongoing battle to see the 32 route reinstated after it was cut at the beginning of the month... But borough leaders say there is not enough cash for them to fund the service themselves and have written to Yellow Buses asking it to reconsider...
