Modern - U.Arab Emirates - RTA to get 80 buses
DUBAI,U.A.E -Khaleej Times Online -22 May 2006: -- The Dubai Road and Transport Authority (RTA) will procure 80 state-of-the-art public transport buses as part of its ambitious transport strategy for an Intelligent Transport System, which will integrate buses, ferries, the Metro and taxis. The strategy would be implemented over the next two years... The fleet of new Citaro buses, specially designed by Mercedes Benz to deliver cutting-edge technology and luxury, consists of state-of-the-art low-floor buses, representing a milestone within the transport strategy... Some 49 articulated buses, 18 standard buses and 13 coaches will be supplied to operate on the newly planned bus services for Dubai Metro, the Airport, VIP services, and inter-Emirate Emirates Express services...
