Mallorca,Malaga,Spain -Euro Weekly News -29 May 2006: -- Travel bosses in the south west of Mallorca have been accused of failing to provide a proper service – despite receiving millions of euros from local authorities and government... Residents in Calvia and Palma claim the new timetable linking the capital with the coastal resorts has under-estimated the number of passengers attempting to use the service during the summer months... They say the timetable bears no resemblance to the service operated by the drivers and there are too few buses on the busy routes along the coastline... Palma office worker Jennie Hurst claims she waited almost an hour for a bus and, when it eventually arrived, it was full... In March, The Euro Weekly News featured the uproar surrounding Palma Nova’s multi-million euro bus station, which has stood empty for months. Local politicians on the Socialist group of Calvia Council are now demanding to know the authority’s plans for the empty bus station, which has allegedly become a haven for drug dealers and crime...
