Westchester,NY,USA -The Journal News.com, by KHURRAM SAEED -Apr 1, 2006: -- Lynn Barry recalls the night she was riding home to Rockland from New York City when her Coach USA bus broke down not far from the New Jersey Turnpike... "The driver had to ask if anybody had a cell phone," said Barry... A passenger offered one and the driver was able to call for help, Barry said of the incident, which happened a few years ago... These days, Coach USA/Rockland Coaches passengers no longer have to worry about their drivers running into cell-phone dead zones or scrambling to find a pay phone, thanks to new global positioning system technology... Coach USA has added GPS to 180 Shortline buses and 21 TappanZEExpress ones as well, and will be bringing that system online soon...
