Testing Buses - Malaysia - Puspakom to work overtime to
PENANG,Malaysia -Malaysia Star -31 Mar 2006: -- With less than 24 hours before the new public bus system begins on the island, 175 buses have yet to pass the roadworthiness test... So far, 39 of these buses had been sent to Puspakom for the test but only seven passed... Penang Local Government and Traffic Management Committee chairman Datuk Dr Teng Hock Nan said due to time constraint, he had asked the bus operators to fulfil five critical requirements like making sure their vehicles had proper brakes, lights, tyres and windscreen wipers...
