MISAWA AIR BASE, Japan -Stars and Stripes, by Jennifer H. Svan -April 1, 2006: -- Starting Saturday, the base’s mass transit system will be converted into an official-use bus for active-duty passengers. Civilians and dependents may ride if there’s space — a change that will do away with 10 stops, including the one at the golf course and some in main base and North Area housing.
