Melbourne,Victoria,Australia -The Age, by Stephen Moynihan -Apr 13, 2006: -- Buses are expected to run more often and for longer each day on Melbourne's network under the State Government's new transport policy... Uniform operating hours — or what is being referred to as a minimum level of service — across all bus routes will be created to shorten waiting times and offer more services... The biggest push will be to improve bus operations on Sundays, with services to start at 8am and run hourly until 6pm. Buses are the only available public transport for about two-thirds of Melburnians, yet only a third of routes run on Sundays...
