Measures - Thailand - Buses to get diesel subsidy
Bangkok,Thailand -Bangkok Post -22 Apr 2006: -- Diesel fuel prices for passenger buses operating in the capital and up-country will be cut by one baht a litre starting on May 1 to help the operators deal with sharp increases in oil prices, according to Transport Minister Pongsak Raktapongpaisal... He said the group proposed short- and long-term measures to assist the private operators, who were granted concessions by the Bangkok Mass Transit Authority (BMTA) and the Transport Co Ltd in reducing soaring operating costs after a significant jump in oil prices...
