Purchases - Canada - New buses okayed, Gateway debate looms, ridership up
Maple Ridge,BC, Canada -Maple Ridge News -Apr 22 2006: -- TransLink is going on another bus-buying binge.This time the board has approved spending $78 million to buy nearly 190 new vehicles that would hit the road by late in 2007... The new purchases planned include:... TransLink hasn’t yet decided which fuel will power the newly approved buses... It hopes to have more data soon from road tests of buses with several fuel types... Hundreds more buses will be needed over the next several years as TransLink replaces and expands its fleet...
