Driver's Story - UK - Passenger noise a danger on buses
Lancashire,UK -Lancashire Evening Telegrap, by LET letters -24 Apr 2006: -- As a bus driver myself for the past 15 years, I have seen many changes to the way in which I am expected to do my job to a professional high standard... I am faced daily with aggressive and dangerous drivers/driving techniques. I am expected to give my full and uninterrupted attention at all times to what is in front of me etc, and also to the passengers sat behind me... The recent case of a driver dismissed for "playing a video game whilst driving" has rightly made the travelling public very concerned about their safety whilst on a bus... Driving whilst texting, using a mobile etc, is totally unacceptable and a practice that is very dangerous...
