Chaos - India - When traffic light- points are turned into bus stops

But here in Ludhiana, at least four major traffic light points have become a commuter’s nightmare. And all thanks to the poor road sense of bus drivers... At four major traffic light points — Bharat Nagar Chowk, Gill Chowk, Dholewal Chowk and Samrala Chowk — drivers of private and government transport buses virtually hold traffic to ransom. They stop the buses bang at the traffic light to pick up and drop passengers... On an average, a bus stops for about two to four minutes for the purpose. During this while, if the light turns green, vehicles caught behind these buses have no choice but to wait, commuters complained...
