Purchases - Canada - GO gets more buses, trains
Ontario,Canada -CBC News -Jan 11 2006: -- Ontario will spend more than $73 million on new railcars and buses for GO Transit, Transportation Minister Harinder Takhar announced Tuesday... The government is adding 20 more bi-level railcars and 31 buses to its fleet to meet the growing demand for service... Takhar said the new vehicles would allow GO to carry an additional 6,400 passengers each day... The purchases will increase GO's bi-level rail fleet to 415 cars and its bus fleet to 299 vehicles...
